The Dirtcar Summer Nationals ‘Hell Tour’ will return to Quincy Raceways in 2014 with a much earlier visit than in past years.  This year’s date, Thursday June 19th will occur during the summer series first trip through Illinois.

Quincy Track Manager, Ken Dobson, is excited about hosting the June event. “We spent quite a bit of time working on getting a date earlier on the schedule to make sure that as many of great drivers are still actively chasing the tour as possible when it stops in Quincy.  We think that with it being one of the first stops in Illinois that we should have a really good field of cars for the event.   By being on a Thursday, it also helps us continue to build Thursday nights as occasional special event nights in Quincy”, said Dobson.

The Quincy Summer Nationals event, which will pay $5,000 to the winner,  has become a sort of ATM machine for the Moweaqua Missle, Shannon Babb who has won 3 of the 6 events held at Quincy, including the 2013 event.  The Summit Modified Nationals will also be on the June 19th card paying $1,000 to the winner.  Stay tuned for announcements regarding any additional classes that will be participating in the Summer Nationals event.
