The Hell Tour Will Generate More Heat than Mother
Nature at Quincy Raceways
By Jack Walbring
QUINCY, IL (July 5, 2012) -
Friday July 6 may be hot in temperature but it will not be as hot as
the racing action for the Hell Tour as the boys from the UMP Summer
Nationals will compete in a 40 lap $7500 to Win Feature event.
Currently Brian Shirley holds a slim 24 point lead over Shannon Babb
for the point’s lead with Jason Feger and Brandon Sheppard charging
hard to get back into the point’s chase.
The Miller Lite UMP Modifieds will be competing in a 30 lap Powder
Coat Plus Summit DIRTcar Modified Summer Nationals feature event
paying $650 to win with an extra $100 awarded for Quick Time in
Qualifying and the Hard Charger Award from Skip Dunker of Dunker
Concrete. The UMP Modifieds will be required to run the A or H
compound tire only with the D compound allowed on the left front only.
Adult Tickets are $25, Seniors $22, Students 11-15 are $15 with Kids
10 and Under Free as always at Quincy Raceways. The pit gates will
open at 4:00, Grandstands at 5:30, Driver’s Meeting at 6:30, Driver’s
Registration ends at 6:30, Hot Laps and Qualifying at 6:45 and racing
at approximately 7:30pm. It should be a great show and don’t the
Mother Nature’s heat keep you seeing the biggest race of the year at
Quincy Raceways. There will be plenty of cold refreshments available
for all to enjoy. Visit Quincy Raceways online at
www.quincyraceways.com or call the Track Hotline at 217-224-4100
for the latest information.
