Mother Nature Wins the Night at Quincy 

 JULY 24, 2011 - When Mother Nature brought some much need rain and some much cooler temperatures it was hoped to be a good sign but a mid afternoon shower proved to be too much as Quincy Raceways was forced to cancel the evenings racing. Track Crews, Officials and Racers alike all worked very hard to work the race track into racing condition but by 8:00pm it became obvious that the efforts were not going to be enough as the top half of the track just got worse and worse as work continued.

 Tickets and Pit Passes that were purchased for the cancelled July 24 event will be honored this coming Sunday July 31 during the Rock Solid Hunting Preserve & Terrible’s Mark Twain Casino Night at the Races. The Kids Nickel Dash will be held at intermission on the 31^st as well. The PRCA Crate Late Models will be completing a four day racing extravaganza at Quincy on Sunday with a $1000 to win main event. The average car count for the series has been over twenty in its first year of operation. The Budweiser IMCA Late Models, Miller Lite UMP Modifieds, Triple R Performance Engines IMCA Stock Cars, KRNQ Pepsi Inside Track Hobby Stocks and Summy Tire and Auto Center Wild Things will also be racing in the weekly racing series.
