Mother Nature’s Wrath Spoils Quincy Again

QUINCY, IL (June 19, 2011) - Mother Nature did it again to Quincy Raceways for the Fathers Day June 19 event. Quincy Raceways received over 6 inches of rain over the past week with rain both on Saturday and Sunday morning and with more rain indicated for later today, Mother Nature has forced the cancellation of the Ursa Farmers Coop and Gem City Ford Night at the Races.

Excessive damage to the pit area with sand over a foot deep in places and wash outs on both the pit area and staging area that were not able to be fixed, Quincy Raceways has been forced to cancel yet again. There will be NO Tuesday Race Night Make-up for this week. The URSA Farmers Coop night will be made up along with Poage Auto Plaza night on July 17 and the Gem City Ford Night will be made up on July 10 along with Quincy Action Hobby night.
